A template is a pre-written message you drop into the inbox with a single keystroke. It carries variables (guest name, stay dates, Wi-Fi password…) replaced on the fly.
Create a template
Open Messages → Templates → + New. Fill in:
- Internal name ("Late arrival confirmation")
- Short shortcut ("/late") to insert it quickly
- Subject (for emails)
- Body with variables {{firstname}}, {{check_in_date}}, {{room_number}}…
- Language (build an EN and FR version of the same template)
Available variables
Most common ones:
- {{firstname}}, {{lastname}}, {{guest_email}}
- {{check_in_date}}, {{check_out_date}}, {{nights}}
- {{room_type}}, {{room_number}}
- {{property_name}}, {{property_address}}, {{wifi_password}}
- {{total_amount}}, {{balance_due}}
Insert in a reply
In the message editor, type / to open the template picker. Arrow keys to pick, Enter to confirm. Variables are auto-substituted from the linked reservation.
Shared vs personal templates
A template can be shared with the whole team or personal (only you see it). Handy for personal signatures or follow-up notes.
